Dr. Yuhe (Brian) Zhao, DOM, AP, MD (China)
Doctor of Oriental Medicine
Acupuncture Physician
Dr. Yuhe (Brian) Zhao has a long history with Western medicine. He first began at Beijing Medical University back in 1984. He then moved on to a residency program at the Beijing Chao Yong Hospital, finishing in 1986. After medical school, he spent over a decade with the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. There, his research involved gene regulation, which later evolved into a career studying regenerative medicine and genetic diseases. His experience with medical research and modern medicine gives him a deeper understanding of the etiology of disease. However, there are times contemporary treatments may prove ineffective in treating certain conditions. Western medicine often does not have effective answers for chronic conditions such as migraines, joint pain, and arthritis. That is where acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine come in.
Having a rich history of more than two thousand years, Eastern medicine may help solve certain medical problems more effectively and without side effects. Dr. Zhao realized some time ago that Western medicine has its limits, so he began studying acupuncture at the American Institute of Alternative medicine in July of 2015. Then he obtained a certificate of Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in August of 2017. He then began putting his knowledge to practice at the Free Spirit Acupuncture and Wellness Center in Beaver, Pennsylvania. Recently, Dr. Zhao has relocated to Tampa and has joined All the Way Health Acupuncture and Herb Clinic. With an understanding of both traditional Chinese medicine as well as modern Western medicine, he is capable of taking advantage of both their strengths. Dr. Zhao is well versed in the relief of chronic pain, neck pain, and lower back pain; migraines and insomnia; as well as the treatment of infertility.
